CULVER CITY, CALIF. (July 16, 2007) – America’s favorite blue collar family comes to DVD for the last time on September 25 when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment debuts The King of Queens: 9th Season. Starring Emmy® Award nominee Kevin James (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Monster House), Leah Remini (Old School), and Jerry Stiller (TV’s “Seinfeld”), the DVD features all 13 episodes in a two-disc set. The series will be available for $29.95 SRP. The King of Queens: 9th Season features guest stars including Anne Meara (Night at the Museum), Lainie Kazan (Beau Jest), and in a recurring role, Lou Ferrigno (TV’s “The Incredible Hulk”) as himself. The King of Queens, created by Michael J. Weithorn and David Litt (TV’s “Ned and Stacey”), was an instant hit with viewers when it debuted on CBS September 1, 1998, for a nine season run. The ninth season finds the Heffernans mining humor from the everyday challenges of love, life, family, and marriage, with situations including Doug (James) spending the family’s tax refund on an ice cream truck, Carrie (Remini) getting baby fever after pretending to be a mom, both Doug and Carrie deciding to get braces after a bad photo, and Arthur (Stiller) becoming a gambling fiend after trying to help someone else stop gambling.
