Funny Business: Catching Up Where You Left Off
King of the Hill: "Bill, Bulk and the Body Buddies" (5/20/07) - Bill becomes friends with some body-building jocks and soon becomes a big jerk to everyone. Grade: B-
King of the Hill: "Lucky’s Wedding Suit" (5/20/07) - It’s Luanne and Lucky’s long-awaited wedding day but a penniless Lucky wants to get an expensive gift, so of course he sues Dale, then Strickland Propane for it. Since this 11th season was after they were canceled by Fox (Family Guy, anyone?), this episode could have served as a series finale, but thankfully it will be back next season, albeit in the same shortened-season form, more than likely. Grade: B+
The Simpsons: "24 Minutes" (5/20/07) - South Park go tot it first but this was still a great parody of 24, with both Keifer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub participating. We follow all of the Simpsons through 24 minutes of a day. Grade: B
The Simpsons: "You Kent Always Get What You Want" (5/20/07) - The 400th episode begins with a look back at the Simpsons 20 years ago. As usual, they go for biting satire of the media as Kent Brockman is fired for cursing on air. Classic Simpsons all the way. My main critique would be that this is the second episode in a row where the 3-D gimmick was done (and it was better in the previous one). Grade: A-
Family Guy: "Meet the Quagmires" (5/20/07) - Death is back and he grants Peter’s wish to go back to 1984. However, when he ditches Lois, he comes back to the present to find her married to Quagmire. He and Brian go back to set thing sweek. The last several minutes are a great parody of "Back to the Future," including Brian singing a Rick Astley song a la Marty McFly’s rendition of Chuck Barry. Grade: A-
American Dad: "Joint Custody" (5/20/07) - We learn a little more about Hayley’s boyfriend Jeff, as Stan and "bounty hunter" Roger originally attempt to put him in jail, then try to save him from it. Grade: B
