Hereos: Lizards

So Peter is now being held captive in Ireland by a bunch of hoodlums wondering why a cargo-load of iPods were replaced with a super-powered guy with a new haircut who didn’t know his own name. They’re keeping him at a pub they frequent (because those Irish love their pubs). And Peter still doesn’t know who he is, much less where the iPods went.
Mrs. Bennet drops her wedding ring in a boiling pot while cooking with Claire. Claire decides to show off and retrieve it from the boiling water. Noah reminds his daughter that they need to keep a low profile, but she’s not such a big fan of the idea, what with all the high school angst being a loner entails. After Claire goes to school, Noah learns of Kaito Nakamura’s death (Hiro’s dad) from the newspaper. He then shows his wife the first of eight old Isaac paintings. He says he only has one of these eight.
Matt has been assigned to investigate Kaito’s death. Ando is there telling them that he saw a mysterious person push Kaito over. They find Mrs. Petrelli’s fingerprints on Kaito’s photo so they plan to bring her in for questioning. Matt asks about the Linderman symbol on the photo. Ando tells him it stands for "godsend" and is Hiro’s hero Kensei’s crest.
However, good luck to these two trying to get to Hiro since he’s in the 17th century with drunken layabout Kensei. Hiro is trying the old "Princess Bride" ducking-a-head-in-water routine to snap some sense into Kensei. Nothing doing. Kensei just doesn’t want to be a great hero of legend and myth. But then, Hiro sees Kensei’s armor and the wheels start a-turnin’. Cut to Hiro riding a horse and impersonating Kensei.
At school, Claire’s teacher is talking about lizards and cellular regeneration. Claire starts asking about the possibility of humans having this capability and doesn’t go very far with that "low profile" thing her dad talked to her about.
Meanwhile, Suresh gets his first assignment from the Company guy with the Midas touch who hired him the week before. He tells him that they found someone in Haiti with similar symptoms to Suresh’s sister and Molly (who was healed by Suresh’s blood). Maybe he has the same virus. Suresh reluctantly agrees to travel there.
Maya and Alejandro are now in Guatemala, and meet up with a friend who will help them get to Mexico.
Enter love interest. Caitlin, sister of one of the Irish hoodlums, shows up to help clean up the bloodied, captive Peter. She tells him that the iPods are being used as leverage in some sort of deal. Peter is still fuzzy on everything except that he thinks he blasted her brother friends with energy beams himself. Then she notices that he’s not wounded underneath the blood.
Suresh is in Haiti and finds none other than the Haitian, of course, fighting off the virus. The Haitian has accepted his fate but Suresh tells him that his blood will cure him.
A weird psychic type lady examines Maya, and is freaked out by what she finds when she reads her palm. She tells Maya that she’s cursed.
More hoodlums, this time in 17th century Japan attacking the swordsmith’s daughter. Kensei, I mean, Hiro arrives in armor and uses his powers to save her. They ride off into the sunset… okay, mid-afternoon sun.
While Caitlin is arguing with her brother in the pub, Peter tries to get free of his ropes. He finally phases through them. So he’s got DL’s powers too, apparently. Peter climbs out of a window. Meanwhile, some even more hoodlum-ish types wander into the pub. Caitlin tries valiantly to defend herself, and just as it looks like trouble for her, Peter arrives, all blue balls of energy (er, that doesn’t look quite right on second thought). Peter saves Caitlin.
Back at school, West shows up to tell Claire to embrace her uniqueness, blah-blah-blah. Then she finds that her car has been stolen (that can happen when you don’t lock it).
In the 17th century, the swordsmith’s daughter and Kensei/Hiro stop riding to spend time under a cherry blossom tree and they are now totally smitten with each other. She wants him to remove his mask but he won’t. She goes to kiss him and he stops time, but then realizes he shouldn’t. Next thing she knows, he’s gone as the cherry blossoms float in the breeze.
The Haitian is a-okay now, and Suresh tells him that the Company wants to observe him. The Haitian won’t stand for that, and suddenly Suresh is staring at Midas Man. Ha-ha, your mind’s been wiped, Mohinder! Midas Man isn’t pleased.
Maya and Alejandro’s guide takes them to the border. They go to hide in a pipe but as some police approach, Alejandro has to separate from them. Maya freaks out about leaving her brother behind and a black substance starts leaking from her eyes. The guide is on the ground choking, and then she gets the black eye goo as well. Alejandro shows up and soon the two of them are feeling better, but the freaked-out guide runs away.
Claire shows up at Noah’s office and tells him that the car has been stolen. Noah’s not too happy. Then they change subjects to the possibility that she could regenerate, or that her blood could heal others. Noah’s not very interested in that either, and is more concerned with keeping his family safe.
Matt interrogates Mrs. Petrelli. She says that the weird symbol is from her husband’s law firm (yeah, right), and confesses that she and Kaito used to be lovers. But she feigns ignorance as to why Kaito would be killed, but as Matt finds out, her thoughts betray her. Matt asks her who is out for revenge against them and she immediately realizes what he can do, screaming in her thoughts "Get out of my head!" The lights start to go out and Matt and co. go to investigate. Then they hear Mrs. Petrelli scream. She seems to be fighting something off. When they go back in, she is alone but definitely hurt. Matt finds her picture with the Kensei/Linderman symbol.
Caitlin’s brother arrives and wants a little help on their next job… or else Peter (as the brother calls him for the first time) won’t see in the little box he found, with all of his information.
In the 17th century, Hiro tells Kensei what happened but soon after that, Kensei is attacked with a bunch of arrows to the chest. Hiro starts to mourn his Hiro, then he pulls the arrows out to notice Kensei healing! Kensei has reconsidered this "hero" business.
Suresh calls Noah with a progress report. Then Noah gets a visit from his new "employee," the Haitian.
Claire decides to experiment on her hypothesis and cuts off her own toe! Then it grows back! Grody to the max! Of course West sees this through the window too, and flies away before Claire can notice (but the dog does).
