The Killers release collection of b-sides and rarities
The Killers will release Sawdust, a collection of b-sides and rarities next week on November 13th. Sawdust features two new tracks – the band’s Joy Division cover of Shadowplay (also featured on the recently released Control soundtrack) and their duet with Lou Reed on Tranquilize. Sadly missing in the line-up is the bands excellent cover of Morrissey’s Why Don’t You Find Out For Yourself which was the original b-side to the single All These Things That I’ve Done.
The band’s b-sides often prove to be just as compelling as their album tracks making this feel more like a proper “album” release. The Abbey Road version of Sam’s Town rivals the original and Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll may be the best track not on Hot Fuss!
