Heroes - Kindness Of Strangers

So Noah has seen Isaac’s painting foretelling of his death, a painting which shows Claire with a young guy. Noah wants to know from his wife if Claire is dating anyone. Then he asks her about it in person, but she plays it off like he’s being paranoid. He says that all he wants to do is meet any new boyfriends, to make sure that they’re not a threat to the family. Seeing as Noah met him while on the job, Claire isn’t about to rush into that.
Molly wakes up from yet another nightmare and Matt and Suresh walk in to check on her. Needless to say, these are becoming a regular occurence. Suresh sings her a lullaby.
Nathan is in Washington visiting his kids on the sly. They tell him that they don’t like the beard so he plans to lose it. He tells them about their grandmother being in the hospital.
Maya, Alejandro and their new friend Derek are traveling to the good old U-S-A from Mexico when they nearly hit a man lying in the middle of the road. They rush to see who it is, and a man says "Help me." It’s Sylar!
Micah is at his relatives’ house, including his rude cousin Damon and his teen cousin Monica, who works at a burger joint. They remind us of New Orleans and Katrina within minutes, because there’s nothing one likes better in a sci-fi/fantasy show than to be reminded of a depressing news story.
Matt is talking to Mrs. Petrelli in her hospital bed. She confesses to killing Hiro’s dad, Kaito, and says that she is so crazy, she attacked herself. Matt doesn’t buy it but her thoughts tell him to do it for the sake of all the "heroes," so the authorities won’t dig any deeper.
Claire is being approached about being a cheerleader at school, which she is still hesitant to do. West then talks to her and she accidentally reveals that the horn-rimmed glasses man he talked about is her dad. She doesn’t want much more to do with him but he’s persistent.
Nathan arrives at the hospital to see his mother. Matt tells him about her confession. Nathan agrees to help Matt investigate the killings and threats. Nathan visits his mother and she tells him that she wants him to be there for his family.
In the car, a recovering Sylar asks Maya where they’re headed. Maya shows him Suresh’s dad’s book. Sylar says that he can take them to him. She asks his name and he says "Gabriel Gray." She asks, "like the angel?" "Just like the angel," he responds, evilly. Wow, the cheese…
Monica is at her burger joint job, and mentions how much it sucks that they had that hurricane and all. Her manager bursts her bubble further telling her that she isn’t qualified to get a manager position.
Claire tells her dad about having to go to the library. She turns down his offer of a ride (since she got her car stolen). She takes off and meets West, then literally takes off. Her dad notices that she has disappeared, but doesn’t notice West flying off with her.
Matt is at Nathan’s apartment. Nathan shows him a picture of the original Company, including his mother, Kaito, and the rest. Matt then notices that one of them is his father. Cue shocking music or noise.

Monica is still at work, thinking about realizing her dreams. Yawn.
West and Claire are sitting on a ledge of sorts at night… turns out that the ledge is the Hollywood sign. He wants to test Claire’s trust in him by asking her to jump. After some hesitation, she does and he swoops down to catch her. Then he says, "I know you can heal, Claire, but I never want to see you hurt." And then they make out. I swear, each line of dialogue is cheesier than the last.
At Micah’s relatives’, Micah is fixing the TV with his powers. He then starts picking up pay-per-view wrestling, and he is instantly Damon’s hero. Monica comes home from work and disapproves of the cable-stealing. It’s clear she’s had a hard day, so Micah hugs her. He touches her back like he touched the TV to fix it, and says, "I just wish I could fix your dreams for you." Cheesy, yes, but at least it’s kind of original, and it came from a kid. Damon sees a wrestler pulling off a move where he grabs onto a pole and swings around and kicks another wrestler… and Monica sees it too. Really sees it. Hmm.
Molly and Suresh get home and Matt wants her to find his father for him. He hasn’t seen his father since he was young. Molly agrees to do this, but then sees the photo. The man in the photo is the man from her nightmares with the red eyes. Now we’re getting somewhere, plot-wise at least.
Nathan looks at an old picture of Peter. He promises the picture he will make things right. Then he looks up in the mirror and sees the scarred, deformed image of himself that he saw in the season premiere. He punches the mirror in anger.
West deposits Claire back home and they talk about keeping their cover stories consistent. They kiss good night.
Maya, Alejandro and company stop for gas. Derek picks up a newspaper under a piece of brick and sees Maya and Alejandro’s wanted poster and freaks out, telling Sylar. Sylar agrees to ditch them, holding onto the piece of brick. Moments later, Maya and Alejandro return to the car. Sylar tells them that they’ve been found out and Derek is calling the cops. The black oil/goo starts coming out of Maya’s eyes again and Alejandro uses his power to stop it. Sylar is intrigued by their powers and the three of them take off with Derek’s keys. Meanwhile, we see that Derek’s head was bashed in with a brick… next to a cockroach (remember that?).
Noah greets Claire with the accusation that she was with a boy. She says that she was only celebrating the fact that she made the cheerleading team with her teammates. Noah isn’t much happier, but finally relents on the condition that she not date. Claire agrees to this (snicker). Then Noah hears the familiar windchimes from last season and goes out to meet the Haitian. The Haitian tells him that he has a lead on the paintings… in the Ukraine. Now it’s Noah who has to lie to his family (get it?).
Matt is tucking Molly into bed. He insists to Suresh that she must find his dad. Molly soon overhears this and agrees to help Matt.
It’s closing time at the burger joint and Monica is ready to close when a shady character insists he come in… carrying a gun, insists. After making with the threats, she sits down and allows him to rob the place. Suddenly, she gets an almost-possessed look in her eye, and then performs the same wrestling move she saw on pay-per-view, flawlessly. Her manager rushes in and asks how she did it. She says that she just saw it on TV. Well, there’s a twist.
Molly tries to find Matt’s dad. She finds an apartment with a number 9 on it. She says he sees her and starts to freak. Matt tells her to get out fast but it’s too late. She starts screaming, then passes out. No response from Molly, except in his head… "Matt! Help me!"
