Heroes: Four Months Ago
So what happened in between season 1 and 2? We finally find out, and what did we learn? That much of what we’ve seen so far this season wasn’t all that pertinent.
Turns out Peter and Nathan both blew up but Peter regenerated and took his now-severely-burned brother to the hospital. Then Bob and daughter Elle take Peter into their custody. Peter is poked and prodded, mostly by Elle (who has a crush on him, and we’re reminded once again what an extraordinary actress Kristen Bell is), and told that he will be cured. But he’s next door to none other than Kensei, now known as Adam, who convinces him to break out, telling him that his blood can heal Nathan. Peter decides to stop taking the Company medication and phases through the walls. Meanwhile, Nathan tells his wife the truth but Mama Petrelli tells her that he’s gone mad, and it’s a Petrelli thing, and she needs to get out fast (which she does). Peter and Adam go to the hospital and Adam’s blood does indeed heal Nathan. Elle and the Haitian find the two of them, and some real action ensues. The Haitian (being a long-time double agent) corners Peter and puts him into the giant container we saw him in in the season premiere, and wipes his memory.
Turns out D.L. didn’t die from his gunshot wound at all (I kinda think that would have made more sense, but whatevs). Bob shows up here too, offering to "cure" Niki. Before Niki takes his offer, she stops taking her meds and takes on a new/old, kinda slutty personality. She takes off, and D.L. finally tracks her down in a club. It looks like they’re home free when Niki’s personality’s date caps D.L. in the chest.
Turns out Maya and Alejandro discovered their power at his wedding, where all the attendees were inadvertently killed by her (though, technically, she wasn’t a big fan of his bride). After Maya becomes a nun, Alejandro convinces her to run away.
Fast-forward to today where Peter’s memory finally comes back to him. Adam asks, "Shall we save the world?"
As Buffy would say, "What’s the plural for apocalypse?"
