Funny Business

Slim pickings right now with only Fox animated series still running new episodes. Thankfully, the strike is finally over and there will be lots more new comedy by April!
The Simpsons: "That ’90s Show" (1/27/08) - This show is finally on a roll. The fact that Homer and clan never age is slyly remarked on here, as now we learn that Homer and Marge were childless almost all throughout the ’90s. Lots of funny references here, and thankfully it’s not a well that has run dry just yet (check back in a couple of years). Grade: A-
King of the Hill: "Doggone Crazy" (1/6/08) - Ladybird bites Hank and he goes to a "dog whisperer" for help. Another hilarious take on Cesar Millan (see South Park last year) though he is only indirectly referenced. And a great love note to Hank’s beloved dog. Grade: B+
American Dad: "Tearjerker" (1/13/08) - Three for three! American Dad takes on James Bond (why didn’t they think of it before?) - almost as good as Family Guy’s take on Star Wars. Roger and Klaus are the villains, naturally. Grade: B+
